Overview
Shopigent AI GEO ("we", "our", "the app") processes data from your Shopify store to provide Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
From Shopify (via OAuth)
- Product data: titles, descriptions, prices, variants, images, tags, categories, vendors
- Store information: store name, domain, email, currency, timezone
- Theme data: theme files (only for schema injection)
From AI Discovery Crawls
- Search query results: which queries returned your products
- AI mention data: when and where your products appear in AI search results
From MCP API Usage
- API call logs: tool name, timestamp, query (for usage analytics), response size
- Usage metrics: number of calls, success rate, tools used
How We Use Data

Data Storage
- All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on Railway (EU West region)
- Shopify API tokens are stored in the database (hashed for uniqueness, plain for access). We follow industry-standard security practices for data storage and access control.
- Shopify API tokens are never exposed to third parties.
- MCP API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes (not plaintext)
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- Railway (our hosting provider) — infrastructure only
- Shopify — via the Admin API you authorized
Your Rights
- Access: request a copy of your data at shopigent@greeknous.com
- Deletion: uninstall the app from Shopify Admin. Your data is removed immediately via webhook handler.
